hey all,






Wedding planning I've decided is like swings and roundabouts , my ideas keep evolving one idea can be thrown out and another idea can roll onto another idea ..... pinterest has helped me loads in my planning getting all my ideas i one place see it all together!! if you haven't yet discovered pinterest it's like marmite you either love it or hate it .... and like marmite i love it :D ha ha i've now got several friends already addicted to the site too!! it's quite a pain to actually join you have to sent an invite to join but its a hell of a lot easier if you know someone who's already a pinner to send you an invite !!! 




Any way at the moment we've fell in love with the yellow and blue thing it all started off when I found a venue dromquinna manor love the boat house it's got a bit of an american feel about it i think ..... so i've put some images together if the feel we are going with it's got a much softer more feminine feel to it :)

 me being a wee bit excited with my magazine!! excuse the no make up!!!




eeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkk iv heard the rumours that there was finally a magazine on the high street that wasn't all conveyer type bullshit (excuse my language but i really hate them) so I decided to check it out I wasn't disappointed finally a magazine that understands that every bride is different that not all brides want the same type of wedding as everyone else .... who even decided that is what a wedding should look like?? obviously it's nice to have the traditions but what traditions to keep are up to the brides and grooms not the big bosses sat laughing at their desks....... so for £2.95 ( cheaper than a lot of the other  magazines out there) I got awesome weddings the type I wished i'd be invited too and some really cool d.i.y ideas that yo know i'm going to be trying!!! haha

also on saturday we are having our engagement photos done by the lovely terri warner can't wait hopefully oak doesn't start throwing up like he did last time we tried to get them done!!!!

thank goodness for bleach!!

haha bit of a weird title  I know!! but after all the stress I most definitely have quite a few more grey hairs!!!

the weekend just gone was mine and oaks engagement party oh my days the stress was un real I am probably the most laid back person I really hated it the build up to it (except getting my ring ) haha and to be fair Im not sure it was even worth it we had an amazing time till the end and good old alcohol decided to ram a cactus up a few peoples arses and ruined my night me and oak ended up rowing with each other so what I thought was going to be an evening of sexiness turned into me crying  myself to sleep :( so I've not been the happiest bunny ever buttttttttttttt it's done now the cakes were lush as was the food!! I swear my mouth is still burning from the onion bhajis ha ha ohhhh and one other little thing I got proposed to again oak was so nervous I couldn't help but laugh at him ( I'm such a supportive girlfriend!!) the last proposal was a very drunken one at the top of the stairs and we nearly fell down...... my ring is beautiful!!

we also have kittens!!!!!! my beautiful buttercup has had 4 kittens 

from left - right selene , socks , tilly and cheeky :) think you can tell which ones I named and which ones the kids called ha ha :)

oh and I'm also a blondie now well it's kinda a candyfloss colour really light blonde and baby pink!!! I'm actually loving it finally happy with the colour!! not impressed with the roots though!! 2 days after colouring it and I had roots!!! whats that about!!!



i've also been looking for some new blogs to read of a night time and I came across call me Lucille oh my days serious girl crush on this lady!!!! Her style is amaze balls!! please check it out if you love 40s 50s clothes and hair styles!!

p.s I want her wardrobe!!!!!

           bloody gorgeous oh i know every girl once they have found the dress is alllllll swooney etc but oh my god i love it!!!!!!! it's something totally not what i thought i would pick its big girly and ivory!!!!! hmmmmmmmmmm :) so one happy bunny here!! my beautiful mum brought it for me as they are putting some money toward the wedding and its helped out loads!! i got my dress from a lovely shop called true romantica bridal in Kenilworth!

absolutely awesome shop!! the girls are amazing in there you really do feel like a princess when you go in they are the right amount of honest about what suits you and they know when you know the dress is the 1 !! oh i could rave for days about the shop !! ha-ha

we still haven't set a date that is next on our list of things to do!! still love st Marys guildhall........ so we will have to see what happens!!

yesterday we also got some gorgeous glass cake stands and pretty side plates from oxfam :)
they will look lush on the dessert table but I'm not sure whether to go all out and have vintage main plates too.......... or just keep it for the puddings ??? I also need to decide on cake flavours what would be most popular ..... chocolate fudge cake......... what wouldn't be ........ coffee and walnut??? suppose i will just have to bake loads and try loads hahaha :)

the group i set up on face book is going well got 118 members now!!!! :)  not that many brides but lots of companies all across the Midlands its kinda awesome that the Midlands has so many fantastic companies to help with your wedding!!!

well I'm off now to do the housework ohhhhh joy!!!! where are house work faeries when you need them!!??

hey all i'm so sorry i've been missing in action!! it's been so hectic kids with the chicken pox followed by half term god i need a holiday sharpish!! 


anyway it's getting closer to our engagement party (still no ring!!!!!!!!) weight loss isn't going great i have just eaten my entire body weight in chinese food :( but it was sooooooooooooooooooo good! 


i've lost some still nearly at the 11stone mark!! so just over a stone to go i'd say depends what i look like don't want to be too thin ( i love my boobs too much!) going jogging again tomo really love it i do more of a brisk walk but better than sitting on my bum! 


i'm also counting down the days of when my dress in the shop!!!!! march!!!!!!!! eek !! 
everything is happening so fast! hard to believe we want to get married in about a year! but i'm looking forward to it making our own wedding! :)

weekend rambles of a very tired blogger mama!!

What a week!!!!!!!!! Oh my days I was so ready for the weekend!!!!! i didn't get out my pjs saturday which was lovely i did the bare minimum!! hahaha I also set up a group on fb called blushing brides of the west midlands on fb!!! :)

So Saturday I was pretty much a slob!! haha I will admit I didn't even have a shower just brushed my teeth.........o.O 

Sunday well today I have been mainly throwing up..........joyous!!! Think I'm getting a tummy bug but it's making my blood pressure low so I'm not much fun to be around today!! But we got out the house and went for dinner at the yummy wing wah....... do not want to know how many calories I ate and the kids destroyed the chocolate fountain!!! haha They basically just ate pudding!! but hey! I'm feeling bit better now think the past week with lettie being ill it's just got to me!!!!!!!!! I really do love my sleep and having only a few hours here or there has killed me!!!!!! :( sad bon!!! 

Tomorrow I want to start my diy project of this cute little hall table I got from useful things round the corner from me it was only a fiver!!!!! got to sand it and repaint it! will look very shabby chic when i'm finished fingers crossed!!! :) I will finish it!!!!! promise!!! 

My hair is finally I think fading I keep thinking it's going then see a picture of it and change my mind it's still very much blue!!!! I was hoping to be pink by now but this blue is oh so stubborn!!!! try for another week then i'll just have to bleach it!! 

OHHHHHHHHHHHH and most important thing happened aswell!! wahey!! finally got a date that everyone is happy with for the engagement party!! not where we wanted it but I think it's going to be a better venue with kids running everywhere we are having it at the westwood club ( same place as our reception for the wedding !!) 

Soooooooooo I think thats it.............another week gone and it's nearly february!!! eek might do some valentines style wedding shizzle next week what ya all think???

Friday lurve list.........

1. I made these felt flowers as a mock up for the real ones that I'm going to make for the wedding!!! Not to sure on the colour yet got a feeling these may be too bright!!! 

2. i got bored of making flowers so i made this cute little blue purse :) yay me!!!! haha I don't actually need anymore purses but hey can never have too many!!! 

 3. my new hat!!!! cute :) 

4. trying to catch up on my 365 day project on facebook and failing i've lost loads of pics when my phone broke!!!! gutted 

5. this is a pic from my mums wedding last year :) don't she look gorgeous!!!!!! cake was yummy too!!!! 

6. i went out saturday with my mate K to the           

delightful coventry and was very brave and went to the chavvy end!!! I survived!!!!!!!!!!!! :) 

7. bit I tell you what the next day I was starving I could probably have eaten this!!!! 

this is called the kid breakfast from a cafe in great yarmouth! If any one knows the actual name of the cafe please tell me!!! it weighs 10lb and if you finish it within 60mins you get it for free. No one has EVER finished it!!!!!!!!!!! 

8. Ok so this isn't really a lurve but had to be in here for a week round up!! my youngest daughter lettie has had chickenpox!! I have had hardly any sleep for the last week and she's been in such pain but done so well not itching!!! very proud of her!! So I got her a batman tshirt to say well done!! Summer wasn't impressed as she just got new school shoes!! hahaha nasty mummy!!! :)

today I've been thinking about flowers... well I know I'm not the biggest fan of flowers they are very pretty but I just don't like the fact they die!! Especially if the wedding is going to last all day plus I really want to make this our wedding!!!!!! I really want to diy the whole thing so I was looking at brooch and felt bouquets I really like the style of these so I'm going to go hobbycraft tomorrow and make a start eek I've looked at a few tutorials online and I think The Oak may get a wee bit pissed off with all the bits of felt I'll be leaving everywhere!! But hey!!! The final result will (fingers crossed ) will be amazing!!!!! Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

monday monday

I'm a happy bunny today! lost 6kg last week!! thats amazing and hell of a lot!! I'm hoping to either stay the same or loose a little more this week!! don't think I'll get the same amount of weight loss this week! But just goes to show how much I need to loose!!! 


It's freezing outside and I'm so hoping it snows for our wedding next year might get a bit crazy but the photo's would look so awesome if it was all white (not horrible slush) nice crisp white even a frost would look ace!! So that got me onto thinking I'll be freezing my tits off if I just wear a dress so really I need a little something to go round my shoulders a cover up........ but me being me I don't just want a little fur shrug no I want something a little bit different!!! :) ohhhhh google.............

Can't beat a bit of retro glamour and I love the leopard print!!

I definitely prefer the darker colours!!! 

And as always the joys of google it gives you the most random images that well just don't go with what you were looking for!!!
